SESSIONS : THURSDAY –

SATURDAY : 10H00

SUNDAY : 10H00
THEME : “BUT WHERE ARE THE OTHER NINE?”
( Luke 17: 15 – 19 ). “15 Then
one of them, upon seeing that he was cured, turned back, recognizing and
thanking and praising God with a loud voice; 16 And he
fell prostrate at Jesus’ feet, thanking Him [over and over]. And he was a
Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus asked, Were not [all] ten cleansed?
Where are the nine? 18 Was there no one found to return and to
recognize and give thanks and praise to God except this alien? 19 And
He said to him, Get up and go on your way. Your faith (your trust and
confidence that spring from your belief in God) has restored you to health.”
It is through thankfulness to God that our faith is
reinforced and strongholds are broken in our lives.
Delivered from many years of captivity in foreign land, the
People of Israel looked back and remembered the goodness of God in liberating
them. There are many reasons why the church should give thanks to God:
PSALM 107: 1- 3: “1 O give
thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and
loving-kindness endure forever! 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord
say so, whom He has delivered from the hand of the adversary, 3 And
gathered
them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the
north and from the [Red] Sea in the south.
-
Vs 1. “
For He is good”.
-
Vs 2. “
Because He redeemed you from the hand of
the adversary (foe)”.
-
Vs 3. “ Because
He gathered you scattered in the lands”.
Above all it is the will of our Father God for you and me –
I Thess. 5: 16 – 18: 16 Be
happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually
(always); 17 Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly]; 18 Thank
[God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and
give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ
Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

Potter's House Family Church
Profile of the Potter’s House Family Church
The Potter’s House Family Church was founded in 1995 by Bishop Sipho Ntombela from a church which was formerly known as the Apostolic Faith Mission – Madadeni Assembly. Under the leadership of the Bishop Ntombela, the church started from a 300 seater building in Section 2, Madadeni Township with about 45 members attending and grew to a membership of more than 500. This necessitated growth operationally and infrastructurally which led to the establishment of the cell group system and the construction of a bigger hall housing 1500 people at a time.
The church continued to grow and in 2005 two sessions became necessary every Sunday. This growth necessitated the development of a new strategy. In December 2008 the church purchased a site at KwaMathukuza area and has since built a 10 000 seater Auditorium which was officially opened on the 14th December 2013.
The church is founded upon three pillars, namely: Prayer, Worship and the Word of God. Our motto is: “A church where everyone is a VIP and Jesus Christ is Lord”. The church has since grown and boasts vibrant branches in Volksrust (Mpumalanga Province), Blaauwbosch (± 20km east of Newcastle) and Emfundweni (near Danhauser). The church caters for all age groups and has services to meet most people’s needs ranging from children to youth and married couples to the elderly. The Potter’s House Family Church is a true cosmopolitan church drawing from the Pentecostal and Charismatic church approached to provide a balance service to our members.
Through its Multi-purpose Centre, Potter’s House Family Church is highly involved in welfare programmes around its community.
The Multipurpose Centre started in 2004, after seeing the need in the church and the community at large. It grew up to include and offer the Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) service and home based care to the community of KwaMathukuza and sections 1 & 2 in Madadeni Suburb. The organisation was registered as a Non-profit organisation (NPO) in 2005 after identifying and analysing the needs of the community particularly around the issues of HIV/AIDS. This brought about the hiring of 10 Care Givers and 2 Child minders. Our main activities are OVC and Home base care. To date there is a Project Manager, 25 Child and Youth Care givers and 2 Child minders.
The Cell group system and training of leaders is a pivotal component of the Church since its main growth is in cell groups. At present the church has over 92 fully functional cell groups operating around Newcastle and in areas serviced by the branches. The cell groups take turns to pray for various prayer items relating to the church, God’s kingdom, government and the society at large. Non-members of the Potter’s House Family Church are also welcome at our cell group meetings. The aim is to expand God’s kingdom through home churches.
The church is active in soul winning and has an active Abadobi (Evangelism) Ministry.
Caring for both members and visitors is crucial in our family and to this end His grace the Bishop has established a Caring Ministry to oversee Ushering, Intercession and Counselling functions within the church.
We are also economically aware and have established a business forum to nurture budding entrepreneurs in the church.
In the pipeline is our Multi-Purpose Centre which will boast a primary care centre, a gymnasium, a music academy and many more amenities to cater for the members and the wider community.
Potter’s Family Church is your spiritual destination if you are around Northen KwaZulu-Natal . We are located at the intersection of Madadeni Road and Asiphephe drive about 12KM East of Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Praise and Worship Team
PRAISE AND WORSHIP TEAM
1. Background
The Praise and Worship Ministry has
been part of the Potters house family church since inception and has been
growing in membership year on year. The membership rolls each year as a bulk of
the membership is the youth, so as and members grow, so then does the choir
membership evolve. This evolution does present challenges in terms of
continuity of the excellence and high level of delivery of the praise and
worship ministry and this challenge is curbed by developing worshippers from
children ministry through a programme known to most as “the new breed”. One of
the elements worth noting is that a lot of past members are now renowned
national artists that are contributing to the gospel music industry at large.
